EYAs are finally over! :)
Finally it's time for me to do the things I've really wanted to do for the past a month or so. I haven't been writing lately because school was super busy. But now that we're only left with options and Higher Mother Tongue O-Level, I foresee my life for the next three months to be very very wonderful and meaningful as I get the chance to do the things that I really love to do. :)
I've been looking forward to a day when I can do nothing but reading good books and listening to good music. Firstly, I shall finish reading Paper Towns by John Green. I've read Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Starts and they are all very good. I personally love Looking for Alaska the best because I like Alaska's character in the story. Generally, I like all books that have interesting character on it (Kafka On the Shore is one!). So yes, I expect Paper Towns to be as nice as, if not nicer than, the other two books by John Green that I've read!
After this, maybe I'll read Fifty Shades of Grey (even though our school's library doesn't have it so I'll have to download the e-book), To Kill a Mockingbird, The Day After Tomorrow and... I don't know what else. If you guys have any book recommendations, do share them with me!
When I went to Daiso with my mom last week, we saw some cute packages of DIYs like key chains, plushies, etc. They are only two bucks but I think the final results will look like those that costs more than 5 bucks sold in shopping malls! Of course that is assuming I'm doing them correctly and neatly. But yes, since I was a kid I've been really in love with doing handicrafts.
For - don't know how many times - I decided to 'improve' my blog's design. Hopefully the result will turn out nice. :) I really miss working with my Photoshop. But I think I won't change the header though, I really like this one!
I want to travel to places around Singapore that do not necessarily have to be expensive but still beautiful. I want to travel without being too anxious about wasting too much time that is supposedly to be spent studying. I want to travel, while at the same time, taking beautiful photographs. :)
Sadly speaking, I haven't touched my piano since I went back to Indonesia last June holiday. I can't really blame it on school assignments and exams, though. Sometimes I'm just too lazy. After this, I will try to play some new songs. I hope my fingers won't be too stiff after not playing for almost four whole months.
I'm going to try Andy McKee's songs like Rylynn and Heather's Songs. Even though in my opinion they sound nicer when played on guitar, at least I think I will have fun playing them since those two songs are among my favorites!
CAT (Clear, Arrange, Tidy)
I actually made that abbreviation for no reason. HAHA. It just suddenly pops into my mind. Anyway, I'm going to clear up every items that I don't need so that at the end of the year, I won't have too much trouble packing up my things into the four boxes provided by the boarding school. Speaking about clearing, I will clear up my laptop, iPad and phone's memory as well. I think I have too many useless pictures from failure of taking good photographs. Some are blurry or covered by my fingers but I'd been too lazy to erase them. I think if I clear them up I can have like 5 more gigabytes for my iPad which is awesome!
I will arrange my school files since I'm not going to use them again this year (well except for Higher Malay). I feel very happy when I wrote this. :) I will tidy up my desk and closet too! Thanks to my mom for helping me to do some of the jobs last September holiday.
Lastly, I will write more in this blog. I don't know whether I've mentioned this before, but writing makes me feel like my life is more well-arranged. It's like putting pieces of paper in different files and arranging those files in one big shelf. Yes, writing a blog post is like documenting my life. And by doing so, I feel greater sense of control in my life and I become more motivated to do something great out of my life so that I can write about it in this blog. :)
I have planned a lot of things to write – some experiences that happened for the past two months, some of my favorite things that I would love to share and just some of my thoughts about many things that I find interesting to write about. For now I shall just leave it with this picture.
